Were closed today. The last half hour was getting interesting because the plain rain was pushing into our area. The storm brought us a half inch of snow/sleet and a icy glaze of ice. Storm did exactly as predicted, the only uncertainty was whether or not it would switch over earlier then it will this morning. Improving conditions moving in, as slightly warmer temperatures and and rain will melt the ice and snow. Watch out tonight into tomorrow for some slick spots, as the temperatures dip into the mid 20's and the water on the roads start to freeze up again.
Next storm will be a clipper storm Friday night into Saturday. It will be a 1,2,3 inch kind of thing. Next Tuesday may bring us another clipper storm, but it's up in the air right now.
ADDED AT 9:47 AM
Quick note: Most schools closed today, but Scranton and Dunmore only had delays. They had the same weather as us. Actually they are higher in elevation and north of so, so they are at colder locations then we are at. This comes to show you how hard it is to predict what school district will do. The roads up their were probably in the same conditions, if not worse then the ones down here, and they have school.
