new info has the snow now mixing with rain and sleet. the hope for around a half of foot of snow rapidly decreased. we are now looking at around the 3 inch range in the wilkes-barre - scranton area. i am downgrading our 3-6 inch forecast to 2-4 with spotty higher amounts. check late tonight or tomorrow morning to find out how much snow we got. i leave you with the 12 hour snowfall forecast. you can check this daily on the 12 Hour Snow Totals link on our site.

MORNING UPDATE
the NWS has our in 4-8 inches. im going to go with 3-6 with spotty higher amounts. not much more to say about the storm that i haven't already. it looks like the heaviest snow will start at 10 , but lighter stuff will start to fall just after dark. it should all be done by the time you wake up tomorrow morning. stay tunned to see how much snow we did receive and tomorrow we will als start on our new years storm which can bring an additional light accumulation. i leave you with the snowfall predicted in the next 36 hours.
