It looks a little colder tonight then previously thought. Air temperatures at 5 to 10 above. At times it will feel as low as -5 to -10 degrees. Now this may be cold enough for a delay, but is not definite for a few reasons.
#1. 5 degrees with a 10 mph winds feels like -10, but 10 degrees with a 10 mph wind only feels like -4. Will it get cold enough in the valley?
#2. The news is not hyping the cold air tonight. They seem to be concentrating on the warm up later in the week. Are the superintendents even watching?
#3. We have already had 4 delays and 4 closings this year. Will they keep giving them out?
Keep a close eye on it tonight. If we get a school delay we will post it on the website malaweather.blogspot.com within 5 minuets of receiving the information.
Storm sometime around Feb 12? We'll talk more about that next week.
